Reception Teacher Needed – Billingham

About the Role:
Position: Reception Class Teacher
Location: Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees
Contract: Full-time, ongoing (potential for long-term or permanent)
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, term-time only
Start Date: ASAP or after half-term
As the Reception Teacher, you will lead a class of enthusiastic 4–5-year-olds, delivering engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and fostering a warm, stimulating learning environment.
Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver high-quality, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYFS framework

Support children’s early development across all key areas of learning

Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
-
Monitor and assess children’s progress, adapting teaching as needed
-
Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment
-
Work collaboratively with Early Years staff and leadership team
Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-
Experience teaching in Early Years/Foundation Stage
-
Strong knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development
-
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
-
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)

A kind, creative, and proactive approach to teaching
