KS1 Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

Teaching Personnel are seeking an experienced and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the DH2 area of County Durham. This role involves supporting pupils within a Key Stage 1 setting to enhance learning, development and progress.

Role Details:

• Position: KS1 Teaching Assistant (Level 3)

• Location: DH2, County Durham

• Key Stage: KS1

• Start Date: ASAP/ Felxible 

Responsibilities:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.

• Provide small group and one-to-one support to pupils to promote progress and confidence.

• Assist in preparing learning materials and maintaining an organised classroom environment.

• Contribute to planning and assessment in collaboration with the class teacher.

• Support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development in line with school policies.

Requirements:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is essential.

• Experience working within a Key Stage 1 setting.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• A positive, proactive approach to supporting children’s learning.

• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
