Location: County Durham (DH6)
Start date: ASAP / Flexible
Contract type: Full-time / Part-time, temporary with the possibility of becoming permanent
Pay: £90– £100 per day (depending on experience)
Teaching Personnel are working with a primary school in County Durham (DH6) who are seeking a KS2 Teaching Assistant to provide behaviour management support within Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting children with additional behavioural needs who is confident, resilient, and able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils.
Responsibilities include:

Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils in KS2.

Implementing behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
-
Supporting pupils to remain engaged with learning in the classroom.

Working closely with teachers and the SENCo to adapt support where needed.

Helping to promote a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
The ideal candidate will:
-
Have previous experience working with children, ideally within KS2.
-
Demonstrate strong behaviour management and interpersonal skills.
-
Be patient, resilient and able to work well under pressure.

Hold a Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
-
Hold or be willing to apply for a Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service.
