About the Job:

This Special School are seeking an outstanding teacher to teach across the curriculum at EYFS and Key Stage 1. They are looking for an engaging, innovative, and highly motivated person capable of inspiring confidence in pupils with special needs, parents and staff.

The successful candidate will be committed to helping pupils reach their full potential and communicate with the world around them.

You will be a valued part of the whole school community, who work together closely to ensure we meet our pupil’s individual needs. You will make a tangible difference to the lives of children with special needs at our school while managing up to 4 SEN teaching assistants who will support you during the day. You will need to have a full appreciation of the importance of personal, communication, social and emotional development.

This Special School is a large school situated in the London Borough of Ealing and run by a nationally renowned autism charity. Ofsted have ranked them as ‘outstanding’ in their last inspection and this Special School have a reputation for excellence in all aspects of their service to the children with autism in the school and the wider community.   • Ofsted Education: Outstanding
  • Autism Accreditation: Outstanding
  • EYFS, primary, secondary, sixth form & 19-22
  • Ages 4 to 22 
  • Girls and boys
  • 74 day places
  • On-site school psychologist, behaviour coordinators, speech and language therapist, occupational therapist
  • Minimum staff to student ratio of 1:2.5
  • A maximum of eight students in a class. Classes are matched in terms of peer relationships and ability.
  • Teaching and caring for children on the autism spectrum since 1965.
