Kirkham Teacher – Year 3 Role
Pre-Requisites to apply for the role;
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
-DBS on the Update Service
-Recent experience working in a LKS2 department
-Strong behaviour management and curriculum knowledge
A large school, catering for a mixed catchment in Kirkham have contacted the agency in order to source and appoint a new Year 3 teacher. The role will commence from the 12th April 2021 and will continue on a full time basis. The positon will cover a member of staff who is expecting to be on maternity for a period of at least 6 months. There is potential for the role to continue potentially for at least 12 months, depending on how long the member of staff takes through her maternity.
The Head teacher has noted she would be keen to see several applying candidates. In order to apply for this role, you must meet the pre-requisites stated above and enclose all the relevant experience and qualifications on your up-to-date CV. The expectation for the applying candidates is that they must have relevant and recent experience in the lower KS2 year groups and be able to confidently inform the Head teacher about this at the interview process.
The school is currently graded as ‘GOOD’ by Ofsted. This inspection highlighted the school’s supportive Leadership Team and the accelerated progressive the children make from the EYFS through to Year 6. The inspection also highlighted the ‘exemplary behaviour’ in and out of the classroom. With this, the school is a harmonious and a great place to work…according to two other members of staff who have worked in school across the last academic year.
The school is located in Kirkham and so the catchment area for the children who attend is pretty diverse. The children will arrive from mixed social backgrounds, ranging mainly working-class families who live in affordable living and rented accommodation. The children are given a consistent behaviour policy from the first day in school to the last and so they are given a good chance to progress academically as behaviour is not an issue.
In order to apply for this role, you must apply online by emailing a CV to jimmy.callagher@teachingpersonnel.com - This is not a role that will be advertised externally through other agencies on through local authority websites.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
