Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Bury Area

Are you a passionate Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking to begin your teaching career in a supportive and inspiring environment? We’re currently welcoming applications from enthusiastic and dedicated ECTs to join our growing network of primary schools in the Bury area.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick-start your teaching journey, gain valuable experience, and make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

About the Role:
As an ECT, you will receive tailored support and guidance as you begin your teaching career. You’ll deliver exciting and purposeful lessons across a broad and engaging curriculum while working alongside experienced teachers and school leaders.
We have a variety of full-time teaching positions available for the new academic year, with the option to gain paid experience in support roles starting after the October half term.

  • Salary: £130–£160 per day (dependent on experience and placement)
  • Hours: Full-time, 8:30am – 3:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, inclusive lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Foster a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support pupils’ academic and personal development
  • Track and assess student progress effectively
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support pupil achievement

About You:

  • Holds QTS or due to qualify by September 2025
  • Passionate about delivering inspiring lessons and improving pupil outcomes
  • Confident, adaptable, and eager to learn
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reflective and open to feedback to support your ongoing professional development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
