Job description

Teaching and Supply Opportunities – Wigan & Warrington

Location: Wigan & Warrington
Start Date: September 2025
Pay: Competitive daily rates (we’ll match or beat your current pay) - Long term roles paid to scale.
Opportunity type: Full-time, part-time, or day-to-day work

We’re currently working with a large number of primary schools across Wigan and Warrington who are looking for reliable, flexible supply teachers for the new academic year starting in September 2025.

Whether you’re after a full-time guaranteed placement, flexible part-time work, or occasional supply days to fit around other commitments, we offer a range of opportunities tailored to your preferences.

We also support Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to complete their induction year in supportive, well-matched school environments. If you’d prefer to keep things flexible, we have plenty of short-term and day-to-day supply roles that offer variety without the commitment of a long-term post.

Plus – we’re offering a £500 bonus if we secure your first September role!

What we’re looking for:

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Confident teaching across EYFS, KS1 or KS2
  • Flexible, dependable, and confident in new school settings
  • Experience with SEN, SEMH, or additional needs is a bonus (not essential)

What we offer:

  • Guaranteed Work Schemes – security and consistency if that’s what you’re after
  • A £500 bonus if we place you in your first September role
  • We’ll match or beat your current daily rate (Long term roles paid in line with your scale point)
  • PAYE weekly pay – no hidden fees or umbrella deductions
  • Access to our CPD Academy for continued professional development
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated consultant based in your local area

Whether you’re looking to secure a new long-term role or keep things flexible, we can match you with local primary schools across Wigan and Warrington where you’ll be supported and valued.

Apply now with your CV to register your interest, and we’ll be in touch to discuss your availability and preferences.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ this may also include an online search as part of our due diligence on shortlisted applicants.
We offer all our registered candidates FREE child protection and prevent duty training. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
