Primary School Teaching Assistant
Location: Harlow
Job Duties:
- Assist the primary school teacher in delivering lessons and providing support to students.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Help with the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
- Provide individual or small group support to students who require additional assistance.
- Assist in managing student behaviour and maintaining discipline.
- Support students with special educational needs or disabilities, following guidance from the teacher.
- Monitor and record students' progress and report any concerns to the teacher.
Required Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Patience and the ability to work effectively with young children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of educational practises and effective classroom management techniques.
- Ability to adapt and respond to the individual needs of students.
- Proficiency in using common computer software and technology.
- Valid driving licence to enable you to commute to a wide range of schools (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional qualifications in child development or education-related fields.
- Qualifications with transferable skills
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily takes place within a primary school setting.
- Typical working hours follow the school schedule, Monday to Friday, typically 8:30am to 3:30pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
