PPA Teacher – Blackburn

Full time teaching position

PPA Cover for EYFS, KS1 and KS2

Monday 20th April start 

 

A larger than average primary school in Blackburn are looking for a PPA teacher to cover across the EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 classes. We are looking for a primary practitioner who is happy to teach across all year groups with consistent behaviour management. You would be teaching foundation subjects including Art, Geography, History, PE and R.E. With the PPA role, you would receive the long term planning prior to starting after Easter. You would be covering a long term staff absence and would be to start on Monday 20th April until Friday 17th July 2020. The Head Teacher has expressed the possibility that the role may continue in the next academic year.

Whilst you cover PPA in the classrooms there is a full time teaching assistant who is familiar with the class and the daily routines. Being familiar with the EYFS Framework, Key Stage 1 and 2 National Curriculum is essential.  This teaching position offers candidates the scope to develop their career and gain further experience working across all year groups. The school are interested to meet with both NQTs and experienced teachers for this role.

Requirements to be a successful candidate:

  • Experience teaching across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Consistent behaviour management
  • Ability to follow the school’s policies such as behaviour and marking policy
