Teaching Assistant with PMLD experience, Durham

  • Are you experienced supporting those with SEN including Autism, MLD and Physical Disabilities?
  • Do you have a CACHE Level 2 or equivalent or a degree in Psychology/Early Years Studies?
  • The Chance to earn up to £135 per day.

An exciting opportunity has arisen in a to work in a lovely SEN school who require a passionate Teaching Assistant with experience supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties.

The role will start in September, 5 days per week and the school are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join them on a temporary basis, with a possibility of it leading to a permanent contract. The correct Teaching Assistant will ideally have 3 months experience supporting PMLD, Moving & Manual Handling Trained and experience working within a 1 to 1 setting, including Personal Care.


• 3 months experience within a PMLD or specialist SEN setting

• Moving & Manual Handling Trained or willing to take the course

• Experience delivering Personal and Intimate Care

• Ability to work in a team or on a 1 to 1 basis

• A passion for working within a specialist SEN setting


• Daily pay rates starting from £56+

• £50 Recommend a Friend Referral Scheme (uncapped)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
