PMLD Teaching Assistant

SEN Secondary School in Southend seeking SEN Teaching Assistant long term/ full time role

We are currently working with a Secondary SEN School in Southend who are looking for a Special Needs TA to start in a long term full time role.

The School is a designated Community Special School for up to 77 students aged 14-19 with a range of complex needs: severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), neurological impairments, complex physical and medical difficulties ,alongside students with moderate learning difficulties, who may need additional social and emotional support before transferring to local colleges at post 19.

The ideal candidate must have experience working with various needs such as Autism, Downs Syndrome, PMLD or additional learning disabilities or medical needs. To apply you must hold:

+ Recent CV with a 6 Year career history

+ Have the right to work in the UK

+ Hold a DBS registered on the Update Services or be willing to apply for a new one through Teaching Personnel

+ Be able to provide 2x referees we can approach from the last 2 schools you worked at
