Teaching Personnel on behalf of a diverse and rewarding SEN school specialising in Autism and profound & multiple learning difficulties are looking for teaching assistants with a real passion for working with children who have additional needs to join their committed staff on a supply basis. The successful candidate will be supported by a fantastic staff team and will be working with a group of children who have very mixed abilities.

As a specialist Teaching assistant you will support the teacher to ensure that the class are able to enjoy both learning and play in a caring and creative environment and will be expected to deliver the work set in an engaging and encouraging style - whilst using your initiative.

Initially this post is on a day to day basis with a view to extend to a long term opportunity. Our specialist SEN branch are currently looking for exceptional candidates for this role in order to meet our total commitment to our schools and the children they support.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Experienced with working with children who have PMLD Experienced with children who have challenging behaviour
  • A warm and patient individual able to make a real contribution at school level
  • Able to support the school learning policies and become an active member of the teaching team.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
