PMDL Specialist - Warmley based!

Job description

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work in one of our Specialist schools, working on a one to one basis with students who have Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties. You will be responsible for working one to one or group work.

You will need to have a flexible attitude, be supportive, remain calm and show initiative. You ideally will also need a relevant qualification in the care, development and/or education of children (e.g. NNEB, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, BTECH National Diploma in Childhood Studies) together with a minimum of one year's practical experience of working with children.

Desirable candidate will ideally have previous experience of working with children in an educational context with evidence of relevant vocational training (eg: Specialist Teaching Assistant Certificate, City and Guilds Learning Support Certificate).

  • Previous experience of working with Special educational needs
  • A Child Workforce DBS on the update service, we can help you through the process if you don't have this.
