PE Teacher - Teacher of PE

Temporary 2 term post (December 16 – July 17) for a PE teacher at an Ofsted ‘Good’ secondary school. This is a part time position (4 days a week), however PE teachers able to offer English as a second subject will have the opportunity to take on the post full time.

Due to a long term planned absence, our client school seek to appoint a PE teacher on a part time basis to cover from December 2016 until the end of the academic year. This is initially advertised as a part time (0.8 timetable), however those comfortable/with experience of delivering English will have the opportunity to gain full time work (5 days).

The school is an 11-16, mixed community comprehensive school situated on the border of Bolton and Wigan within Bolton Council’s boundaries. The school is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average. Located on the outskirts of Bolton, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Chorley, Salford and Wigan.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
