Physical Education teacher - Darlington

Physical Education Teacher required in Darlington to start in September

Our client school is currently looking to recruit a PE teacher for an upcoming gap that is set to commence in September 2019. This position is being advertised on a full-time temporary in the first instance however there may be opportunities later in the year for permanent employment

• Full-time Physical Education Teacher - September 2019
• Pay in line with MPS/UPS Scale (£23,720 - £39,406)
• Opportunity to gain permanent position following initial employment on a temporary basis
• Must have recent experience teaching Physical Education in a secondary school setting

Teachers applying for this role must hold QTS specialising in Physical Education and have experience teaching Physical Education to students aged 11-16 in a secondary school setting.

Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT's) will be considered for this role and their will be regular reviews held with Senior Leaders and the Head of Department to ensure that the successful teacher is performing to the required standards. Complete support will be offered to the incoming teacher throughout the initial placement.

As a PE teacher at our partner school in Darlington, successful candidates will be teaching both physical and theory aspects of the Physical Education course to both KS3 and KS4. Experience across a broad range of sports is highly desirable, as well as a strong work ethic of running extra curricular activities and sports clubs.

• The school is caters for over 1200 students at present, which is large compared to other schools in Darlington
• The majority of students come from a white British background
