The head of a 3 form entry of a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant to support in the learning of Phonics across KS1. The school require a TA for two terms initially to help boost the progress in Phonics in the run upto the Phonics screening. Raising attainment in Reading and Literacy is a huge focus for the school and are seeking a candidate who adopts a creative and practical approach to the teaching of phonics, and should be confident in teaching from Phase 2-6 of the phonics curriculum. An experience of Jolly Phonics and Letters and Sound. is desirable however not essential.

This larger than average Primary School is located in central Manchester- Crumpsall, M8. The Head teacher requires a confident and knowledgeable TA that can adapt easily to the fast past and lively nature of this energetic school. The role will be to support during the mornings. You will teach your own Phonics and Reading groups for the mornings. And during the afternoon the ideal candidate will work along other Teaching assistants to support in Year 2 with the children that need ‘catch up sessions’ in preparation for resitting the Phonics’ screening.
