Experienced SEN Support Worker Required for specialist school in North Leeds

  • Experienced using PECs with pupils who have additional needs
  • Available on a full time basis in September
  • Able to implement EHC Plans

Teaching Personnel are working with a specialist SEN School in Wetherby who are seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Support Assistant. You will ideally have experience supporting pupils with complex SEN Needs and communication difficulties. Experience using Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS) to aid communication is essential, and further experience in Makaton/BSL is highly desirable.

The school caters for pupils aged 2-19 with a range of SEN including Autism, Sensory Impairments and Speech, Language and Communication Needs. You will be part of a supportive and multi-disciplinary team. working towards shared goals and providing a safe and inclusive environment for all learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
