PE Teacher

Job description

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in the New Forest. The school are seeking a Sports Coach/PE Teacher to start in January on a Full-time basis. The school is rated 'Outstanding' and has high expectations of both its pupils and staff.

We are seeking a qualified teacher of PE with the ability to teach at KS3 and KS4. The teacher appointed will be required to undertake all aspects of the role including marking and assessment. The role would ideally suit an individual who is keen to secure a role in an established department and to work as part of a successful teaching team to maintain and increase pupil attainment.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering of engaging lessons
  • Supervising after school clubs
  • Assessment of pupils
  • Attendance at parents evening and other meeting as required
  • Classroom/Behaviour management in line with school policies and procedures

Candidates should hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and have experience teaching in UK secondary schools. The school will consider applications from Newly Qualified Teachers.

The working hours for this role are Monday to Friday between 8:30-3:30.

Successful candidates will be required to hold, or apply for, an enhanced DBS and be subject to safeguarding and vetting checks.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
