Teaching Personnel is currently working with a SEN school based in Coventry that is looking for a Teaching Assistant, who has a strong sporting background. The role is to start as soon as possible, and it is with a view to go permanent from September.
The school is a Secondary school that caters for pupils aged 9-18 with Autism & ADHD. The class sizes are around 6-8, and you will be working alongside fully qualified teacher and another member of support staff.
This particular role is working as both a general Teaching Assistant, as well as working closely with the PE & sports department. The successful candidate will have experience working as either a Teaching Assistant in an SEN school, or as a Sports Coach. This role is perfect for a Sports graduate, or someone from a strong sports coaching background. If you don't have specific SEN experience, but you have sports coaching experience and have an adaptable and flexible personality you can be considered.
The role is a full-time role.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
