Physical Education graduate teaching assistant Oldham

- Supporting students during Physical Education lessons

- Covering Physical Education with pre-planned lessons in absence of teaching staff
This position as a Physical Education graduate teaching assistant is initially being offered as a temporary post, to alleviate the pressure of sickness absence and ensure the behaviour and safety of students during their Physical Education lessons. The school is a large secondary in Oldham, which is a short walk from the local tram stop and on a number of bus routes from Oldham and Manchester. The post is offered as full time, and the incoming Physical Education graduate teaching assistant will work predominantly within the department, but will also be utilised in supporting students in other areas such as those displaying challenging behaviour.
Requirements of this post as a Physical Education graduate teaching assistant;
- A degree or diploma in Physical Education or Sports
- Previous experience in a coaching setting or placements
- A desire to work with secondary aged pupils in Physical Education
