We are working closely with a Secondary School situated in a suburb of Bedfordshire, easily accessible from Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire and some parts of Milton Keynes. This is a large Secondary Academy hosting over 1200 pupils and part of a nationwide successful Trust. They are recruiting for a Geography Teacher to fill a gap for the Summer Term, with the view to continue if the school is the right fit.
The role would involve teaching Geography predominantly to Year 7 - Year 11 GCSE classes (KS3/4). A Geography Teacher with at least 1 year experience teaching Geography to GCSE is essential and ideally obtained a PGCE Geography. There is a Head of Department position on offer for the right Educator.

This medium size, village-based Secondary School is looking for a Geography specialist to join an established cohort of staff and become part of a long-standing Senior Team with excellent support and organisation in place. In Bedfordshire, this school prides itself on local Teachers with good behaviour standards which all students adhere to. They proudly support the wider community to get the best outcomes possible, whether that be in academic results, community engagement, performing arts or performance on the sports pitch.
Contract
This would be a permanent role for the right person, with a 3 month probation period via our temp to perm programme. You would be treated as permanent staff from the start of your contract, being involved in all CPD activities and sessions inclusive of that. You would be expected to plan, mark and deliver Geography lessons to your timetabled devised of KS3 and KS4 classes with PPA time included. You must arrive no later than 8:15am and finish at 15:25pm.
Pay
You would be paid to the National Teacher Pay Scale salary between M1 - UPS1 on a daily rate equivalent.

The ideal candidate we would like to speak to will possess:
- QTS or PGCE Geography Qualification
- Geography Teacher with at least 1 years experience teaching up to KS4
- Highly knowledgeable in GCSE Geography curriculum
- Be passionate about teaching Geography and promoting learning in Geography for excellent results
- Good or Outstanding classroom practice with high expectations for achievements and behaviour
- Be able to plan and deliver creative and stimulating Geography lessons
