Position: Pastoral Support
Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term
Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral care and support to students, addressing their emotional, social, and behavioral needs in collaboration with teachers and other stakeholders
- Build positive relationships with students, offering guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear to help them overcome challenges and achieve their full potential
- Implement strategies to promote positive behavior, conflict resolution, and effective communication among students, fostering a safe and inclusive school environment
- Work closely with the SENCO and other support staff to identify and address any barriers to learning, providing tailored interventions and support where necessary
- Collaborate with external agencies, parents, and carers to develop holistic support plans for students facing complex issues
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a pastoral or support role within an educational setting is highly desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students from diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of young people
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A genuine passion for supporting students' personal and social development, enabling them to thrive both inside and outside the classroom

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
