Part time SEN teaching assistant, Autism support, South Croydon

Job description

SEN Learning Support Assistant required to work in a large SEN school in the South Croydon area on a part time, day to day supply basis.

If you have experience supporting children with autism and are looking for part time work as a teaching assistant in an Ofsted rated 'good' special needs school, this opportunity could be the perfect role for you.

The school regularly use agency staff to cover absences due to sickness, training courses, medical appointments, holiday, jury service and other planned absences. You will provide support across different key stage 1 and key stage 2 classes and will enjoy getting to know all the children and staff. Every day will be different!

You will need the following:

  • Experience of working with special needs, particularly autism
  • An understanding of how to use PECs or Makaton is desirable
  • References from your previous employers
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
  • To be able to travel to South Croydon for an 08:30am start and a 15:30pm finish

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
