Part-time Maths Teacher

Part-time Maths teacher (0.6) required from January 2019 for a Co-Educational Secondary school located in Shevington, Wigan.

  • Maths teacher required on a part-time basis from January 2019
  • Employment for the remainder of the academic year
  • Teaching Maths to pupils aged 11-16 at GCSE level
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS - £23,720-£39,406
  • Must hold QTS specialising in Maths

The school are offering employment for the remainder of the academic year and will likely offer the appointed candidate a contract extension if successful over the initial temporary period.

In this position you will be teaching Maths to students aged 11-16 at GCSE level, it is essential that you are able to support students in their aim to achieve and exceed their target grades. In order to be successful in your application for the role, the Head of Maths has highlighted that the incoming Maths teacher will be able to deliver engaging lessons that will create a sense of enthusiasm amongst your pupils.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
