Part Time Mathematics teacher

Date posted : 12/07/19
£23720 - £39406 per annum

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Are you a qualified Mathematics teacher seeking a part-time (0.8) role in September? Do you have experience teaching across Key Stage Three and GCSE, along with differentiating work to meet the needs of all ability levels?

Teaching Personnel are working with the Senior Leaders at a small secondary Academy in Bury to appoint a part-time Mathematics teacher to work with the school from September 2019 for twelve months (initially).

Due to a staffing restructure within the Mathematics department, the Head of Mathematics has identified a gap for a teacher to join them on a 0.8 basis, which equates to four days per week. The four days are negotiable, and the school are welcoming applications from both experienced and newly qualified Mathematics teachers.

This position will incorporate teaching Mathematics across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four and the incoming Mathematics teacher will hold full responsibilities for planning and marking throughout the position.

  • Part-time (0.8) Mathematics teacher required, September 2019 start.
  • Offered for twelve months initially, may be subject to continuation.
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point (£23,720 - £39,406 per annum).
  • Small secondary Academy based in central Bury, accessible via the M66 motorway.

"We are seeking to appoint a part-time Mathematics teacher to join our team for twelve months from September 2019. The successful Mathematics teacher will join a team of six experienced practitioners and will have access to tools and resources to ensure success." - Head of Mathematics

With fewer than 700 pupils on roll at present, the school is smaller than others in the area, and has appointed a new Senior Leadership Team which has resulted in significant progress across attendance, attainment and behaviour.

Situated in central Bury, our partner secondary Academy can be accessed via the M66 motorway. For non drivers, there are a number of public transportation links that lead directly to the school from neighbouring areas - Bolton, Rochdale and central Manchester.

Mathematics teachers interested in this role are urged to apply straight away. For immediate consideration, please submit a full CV to Nicola Pollitt. To obtain further information, please contact the Manchester West Secondary Office on the contact number provided below;
