Teaching Personnel work exclusively with a School based in the Leyland, Lancashire area (near Preston) who are seeking an Outreach Worker for the new academic year.
The School is smaller than average and caters specifically for pupils with SEMH Difficulties, Autism, ADHD, ODD and Challenging Behaviours. The School are looking to appoint a full time Outreach Worker to provide support and guidance for pupils who struggle to remain in mainstream education and / or are disengaged from education completely. The role will be on a temp - perm basis, a permanent contract will be offered to the right candidate through the school around January time after an initial handover period through Teaching Personnel.
The role will require you to work on a 1:1 basis with your key pupils, many of whom have additional needs and/ or challenging behaviours. Your role will be to reintegrate pupils into education and find ways of building rapport with your students.
This role would suit a candidate who can drive as you may be expected to work off site from time to time with students.
The role will be full time, School hours are roughly 8.35am - 4pm Monday - Friday, however, depending on how many pupils you work with, there may be opportunity to finish earlier.
The candidate suited to this role will be empathetic, resilient, passionate and hard working.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
