Outdoor Education - Teaching Assistant

Job description

We are currently looking for a flexible Teaching Assistant to support KS3 & KS4 pupils at one of our SEMH provisions in Sherborne. You will be supporting pupils who have emotional and behavioural difficulties, so the work will be challenging, however, extremely rewarding!

The successful candidate will need to be able to work as part as a successful team and be flexible around their working hours.

The schools will require someone who is:

- Experienced Outdoor Education Instructor/Assistant -

- Experienced working with young people -

- Proven ability to engage with young people -

- Capable of dealing with challenging behaviour -

You will be required to work on and off site.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
