Teaching Personnel are looking for a reliable and organised Office Administrator to support a busy and welcoming school office.
We have a number of roles available for Office Administrator work so get in touch ASAP.
This role is perfect for someone with strong administrative skills and a commitment to working in an education environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide day-to-day administrative support following standard office procedures.
-
Use Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) to create and manage documents and spreadsheets efficiently.
-
Maintain and update school databases and Management Information Systems (MIS).
-
Act as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and parents – both in person and on the phone – with professionalism and care.
-
Ensure accurate record keeping and support the school’s compliance with GDPR and safeguarding policies.
-
Assist with event and activity administration, ensuring all deadlines are met.
-
Support general office Health & Safety practices.
Essential Experience & Skills:
-
Experience working in a general office or administration setting.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Ability to write clear and professional emails and letters.
-
High attention to detail and accuracy.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
-
Understanding of confidentiality and sensitivity in a school setting.
-
Willingness to undertake relevant training and professional development.
Desirable Experience:
-
Previous experience working in a school or education environment.
-
Familiarity with school MIS systems (e.g., SIMS, Arbor).
-
Understanding of GDPR and data handling.
-
Reception or customer-facing experience.
-
Awareness of safeguarding procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
