Qualified Supply Teacher – Primary Schools (Reading)
Location: Reading, Berkshire
Salary: Starting from £140 per day
Contract Type: Supply / Temporary, Term Time Only
Start Date: Immediate / September 2025

Flexible Supply Teaching Roles in Primary Schools Across Reading

Teaching Personnel is looking for enthusiastic and qualified Primary Supply Teachers to support schools throughout the Reading area. Whether you’re seeking occasional assignments or longer-term supply work, this is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a variety of primary settings and make a positive impact on pupils’ learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging lessons across the primary curriculum, following school schemes of work

  • Manage classrooms effectively, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Adapt lessons and resources to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEN or EAL

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff and parents

  • Follow school safeguarding and health & safety procedures

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

  • Experience teaching in primary schools, with a good knowledge of the national curriculum

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • Flexibility and reliability to cover short notice assignments

  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
