Nursery Practitioner Required, Hackney

  • Nursery specialist needed
  • Nearest stations Homerton and Hackney Central on Overground - easily accessible by bus

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a Primary School/Children's centre in Hackney Central who are currently looking for a nursery practitioner to join their team.

The start date:

This position is starting ideally ASAP, however we are still encouraging applicants to apply for this position after the closing date as the school will wait for the right person.

The position:

The school are looking for a nursery practitioner to work within the school. The role requires support within the main nursery class and crèche. You will carry out planning and observations of your key children and general daily care of children. The ideal person will have experience working in a nursery or foundation year groups at school.

The school:

This is a 2-form entry school with a children’s centre attached. The school strives for the highest standard of attainment and have a dedicated team of staff and governors. They’ve created an inclusive and stimulating learning environment which ensures children extend their knowledge and raise aspirations. Literacy, numeracy and good work habits are given the highest priority in the curriculum.

They have an understanding of equality and diversity issues is of the utmost importance as our service users come from a variety of backgrounds and cultures with differing needs including disabled children and those with special needs.

The ideal candidate:

The ideal candidate will be looking for a challenge and has a real passion for supporting children in Early Years. Preferably, you would have a CACHE Level 2/3 or NNEB qualification. A mimimum of 6 months of experience working with children is essential.

The Interview:

You will be observed in the children’s centre for approximately 2 hours - during this time you’ll be expected to conduct a creative activity, outdoor session and perform a song.
