About the Nursery
This respected and long-standing nursery is dedicated to creating a safe, stimulating, and enjoyable environment where children can thrive. Caring for children aged from 6 months to 5 years, the nursery prides itself on delivering outstanding care and early education, building strong foundations for lifelong learning and development.
The Role
As an Early Years Educator, you will play a vital role within a passionate and supportive team. Working alongside experienced practitioners, you will help to create a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment. Your responsibilities will include planning and leading age-appropriate activities, supporting children during mealtimes, attending to their personal care, and fostering a positive, welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s development, celebrating achievements and tracking progress.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children, and maintain effective communication with parents and carers.
- Ensure the learning environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming at all times.
- Support children’s emotional well-being by offering encouragement, comfort, and reassurance when needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a dynamic and inspiring learning environment.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a nursery or early years setting is desirable.
- A sound understanding of the EYFS curriculum and its application.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
Working Hours
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
