Job description

Are you a Newly Qualified Teacher based in Leeds? If so, I want to hear from you!

Here at Teaching Personnel we realise the value that a Newly Qualified Teacher can bring to a school. From the enthusiasm to the up to date knowledge and practices fresh from training. With such unprecedented times we are fully aware that a lot of Newly Qualified Teachers are going to struggle in securing their new dream job based on the fact that schools are not recruiting as heavily and if so, struggling to complete the process due to school closures. This is where we come in at Teaching Personnel and help you to find your first role straight from training. We are partners to a number of Secondary schools throughout Leeds who are looking for members of staff to help support their September start.

But what is Teaching Personnels NQT Pool?

In a nutshell 'Our NQT Pool takes an old idea and makes it work for schools across the country during these extraordinary times. Every local authority used to run an NQT Pool, where qualifying trainees applied once to be considered by all the schools in the LEA. Teaching Personnel’s pool works on the same principles, but with a national focus on both recruiting NQTs and working with schools; with greater resources and expertise devoted to vetting, assessing and pre-screening candidates; and the delivery of extra training resources to help candidates who have had their final year of training cut short by the school closures.'

With this in mind we are looking to recruit hungry and motivated NQT's who have yet to find their next role, whether that be permanent or temporary across any subject specialism. Joining our NQT Pool gives you a wide access and exposure to a number of schools in one go who will be able to utilise you within their school. With the resignation date for most schools quickly approaching we are expecting a huge influx in the requirements from brand new teachers across their departments.

Why join the NQT Pool?

The Teaching Personnel NQT Pool offers real benefits for both the school and the NQT:

• Gives the NQTs a simple and quick route to find potential employers during the period of school closures

• Takes the administration burden of recruiting from schools during these challenging times

• Gives schools a range of options to secure new talent for September

• Additional training materials will support NQTs whose training has been cut short by the corona-virus outbreak.

We understand that a lot of final placements during teacher training have been cut short due to school closures and with this in mind you may not feel fully prepared to start your role as a fully fledged teacher. Not to worry as we are offering additional support to make sure you are ready to go in September. Through our sister company Best Practice Network we are offering additional CPD across the main areas of teaching including training on; Pedagogy an Practice, Behaviour Management, Curriculum, Special educational needs, assessment and professional behaviours All this combined gives you the tools and exposure to be able to secure you next dream role.

Interested? Apply today to find out more information and join our NQT Pool today!

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
