Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: 160- 200+ per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent/Fixed Term
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to support across SEND schools. You will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with a range of communication needs, including autism, speech and language delays, and complex learning difficulties.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, and deliver targeted interventions that enable pupils to develop their communication skills and access learning effectively.
Key Responsibilities

Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs using appropriate tools and observations

Develop and implement individual therapy plans tailored to each pupil

Deliver 1:1 and group therapy sessions

Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals

Provide training and strategies to staff to support communication in the classroom

Monitor and review student progress, maintaining accurate records
-
Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews

Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies
About You
-
Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with a recognised degree

Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
-
Experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable)

Strong understanding of communication needs, including ASD and speech/language disorders

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
-
Ability to adapt approaches to meet diverse needs

Passionate about improving outcomes for children with additional needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
