Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT)

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: 160- 200+ per day (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Permanent/Fixed Term

About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech and Language Therapist to support across SEND schools. You will play a vital role in supporting children and young people with a range of communication needs, including autism, speech and language delays, and complex learning difficulties.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assess, plan, and deliver targeted interventions that enable pupils to develop their communication skills and access learning effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess students’ speech, language, and communication needs using appropriate tools and observations

• Develop and implement individual therapy plans tailored to each pupil

• Deliver 1:1 and group therapy sessions

• Work collaboratively with teachers, teaching assistants, and other professionals

• Provide training and strategies to staff to support communication in the classroom

• Monitor and review student progress, maintaining accurate records

• Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and annual reviews

• Liaise with parents/carers and external agencies

About You

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with a recognised degree

• Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (desirable)

• Strong understanding of communication needs, including ASD and speech/language disorders

• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Ability to adapt approaches to meet diverse needs

• Passionate about improving outcomes for children with additional needs
