Newly Qualified Teacher

Location: Harrow

Role: Teacher (KS1)

Duration: September start, fulltime hours from Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm.

Pay: GBP130 - 170 per day (paid on a weekly basis – negotiable dependant on experience and references)

 

Have you recently qualified as a teacher? Are you in your final year of your PGCE?

Would you be open to using your teaching skills to teach pupils who have had difficulties learning in school?

 

Children with mental health needs thrive from having exceptional hard working teachers with an in-depth or open understanding of mental health support. We are currently looking for a newly qualified teacher or final year student to work across a number of different schools in Harrow. Teachers will work in small classes with up to 3 support staff in class planning, delivering and accessing behaviour and education support programmes.

 

The schools are looking for  NQT and final year PGCE students with UK school experience that are:

  • Open to teaching in schools with children who have been unable to learn in mainstream schools for a range of reasons such as mental health, special need diagnosis, being in care, being at risk of or being abused.
  • Passionate about teaching children.
  • Dedicated and consistent as building and maintaining positive relationships is vital

Essential criteria:

  • Full-time availability
  • Able to travel to Harrow.   
  • QTS, PGCE, final year student with Teaching experience in UK schools

Desirable criteria:  Mental health awareness training, Special Needs experience, Team Teach or positive handling training, MIDAS trained to drive school minibus.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
