Music Teacher

A school in Tameside is looking for a KS3 Music teacher to join the teaching staff on a temporary basis. This position is for highly motivated teacher, who holds QTS. A degree within the field of Music or a related subject is highly desirable. This position presents itself as the ideal opportunity for a teacher looking to develop their KS3 teaching skills. It is important to note that this role is solely focused on KS3, and so previous experience working with Years 7/8 and 9 is exceptionally desirable.

Key aspects of this role include:

• Delivering school curriculum, being able to successfully teach high quality Music lessons.
• Managing behaviour expectations in line with school policy, as well as working to recommendations from Ofsted.
• For the teacher to buy into the school’s key vision, related to becoming an ‘Outstanding’ school.
• For the teacher to work in line with the school’s ethos, which is based on collaboration and mutual respect – Music as a subject presents itself as the ideal class for collaboration to take pace amongst students.
• Creating engaging in class tasks, ensuring that relevant educational resources are at hand to aid personal development.
• Ensuring that any equipment used is being done so in a respectable manner, as well as ensuring that the classroom is in a fit state for learning.
• Working to ensure that students with SEN are effectively catered for, as well as those whose primary language may not necessarily be English.

The school is looking for the required applicant to start immediately. This role will commence ASAP, and will conclude at the end of the academic year.
