A fantastic opportunity to teach Music up to GCSE level at an Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary academy.
- Full time Teacher of Music required from September 2020
- Fixed term contract for three terms (until the end of the academic year)
- Permanent contract obtainable for the perfect candidate thereafter
- ‘Good’ secondary academy in Salford close to a Metrolink stop
- Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)
Prospective candidates for this role will ideally have experience teaching both KS3 and KS4 music curriculums, as well as preparing and delivering both practical and theory lessons to a range of different learners. The ideal candidate will be dedicated and passionate about bridging the gap between disadvantaged students and their peers. The department are highly successful with Music being a popular choice of GCSE for many students and the department having a proven track record of delivering excellent results.
The school is currently smaller than average in terms of student numbers, with expansion planned across the next two years. Students have access to state of the art facilities, with the school moving to a new build in 2012. It is easily accessible from a range of locations across Greater Manchester, with the school being located close to a Metrolink stop and being a short drive from Manchester city centre. The Principal is passionate about the Continued Professional Development (CPD) of all teachers, in particular those new to the profession (NQTs) and so would encourage them to apply. Weekly CPD sessions are held, with fantastic feedback being received consistently.
