SEN Teaching Assistant - Early Years - Large, 3 Form Entry Primary School in Salford, M6 – September Start.

  • SEN Early Years (EYFS) Teaching Assistant
  • Supporting SEN children within the EYFS
  • Cerebral Palsy and Communication Needs

Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a large, 3 form entry primary school in the central Salford area. This “Good” school that serves the local community are looking to add an Early Years SEN teaching assistant to their Early Years Department from September. As an Early Years SEN teaching assistant, you would be expected to support a child on a 1:1 basis who struggles with Cerebral Palsy and communication needs.

The focus for the school at this current moment is to help support new children from various international backgrounds to settle into their Early Years department and as such, the role comes with certain unique challenges. As an Early Years SEN teaching assistant, you would be working with children whose’ first language is not English (EAL) and children with “Looked After” (LAC) backgrounds. Of course, in this case, the main role for the SEN teaching assistant would be to support a child with all of their physical and communication needs.

• £12,00 - £17,000

• Trial Days to take place in the first week back in September

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
