A special needs school situated in the Wallington area are seeking support staff to assist with supervising students at lunch time – starting after the October half term 2019.
The school is looking to recruit someone who has a good understanding of what is required to work with students who have both physical and mental disabilities. The school need someone to work for 2 hours each day between the hours of 11:30am and 1:30pm.
You must have experience of working with children, although this may or may not come from a classroom based setting.
Successful candidates will be able to provide personal care, including toileting assistance, and be able to assist with feeding students who are not fully capable of doing so themselves.
Training for working with children who have special needs is desirable but not mandatory. The ability to develop rapport with students who have additional needs and a good understanding of their needs is crucial though.
