MFL Teacher - Spanish

Job description

Teaching Personnel are supporting the recruitment of an MFL Teacher (Spanish) ahead of May 2020 at an Ofsted graded Good Roman Catholic Secondary School.

With a member of the Languages department going on maternity leave in the New Year, this school wish to appoint a Spanish teacher on a 12-month full time basis.

Due to the nature of this position, there is the possibility of a handover period and the ideal candidate joining the school earlier from Easter 2020.

  • Full time MFL Teacher – Spanish (KS3 and GCSE)
  • Opportunity to teach within a large Roman Catholic secondary school which holds an excellent reputation
  • Located in Bolton a short drive from the M61
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience
  • Must hold a PGCE or equivalent and UK QTS

The incoming Spanish teacher will be required to take on a timetable consisting of KS3 – GCSE and you will be required to take on a form group. This timetable will have appropriate release/PPA time, you will be invited to any CPD and training during your time within this temporary role.  

The Head of Languages hopes to appoint a Spanish teacher who can stretch the learning of their pupils and can consistently provide engaging practice. The ideal applicant will already have a track record of delivering outstanding practice and will be able to inspire pupils to reach above and beyond their expected grades.

Spanish teacher requirements;

  • Ability to teach KS3 and GCSE Spanish
  • Be available from May 2020 or earlier on a 12-month basis  
  • Be fully committed to taking on full teaching responsibilities inclusive of parents evening and departmental meetings

This is a highly reputable school which consistently achieve excellent examination rolls and pupils who achieve expected progress is well above average. The school holds a strong catholic ethos, although it is not essential that you are catholic to be considered for this position, applicants must respect the catholic ethos. Located a short drive from the M61 motorway and has direct access to central Manchester. There are just over 1200 pupils on roll in school with an average number of pupils speak English as an additional language.
