The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre‑planned lessons to students across KS3 & KS4
  • Maintain a calm, positive and focused learning environment
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Supervise classes in a variety of subjects
  • Provide support to students with SEN or additional needs when required
  • Encourage active participation, engagement and independent learning

This role offers a realistic introduction to teaching, perfect for those considering moving into education long‑term.


The Ideal Candidate

We would love to hear from individuals who:

  • Have experience working with young people (youth work, coaching, tutoring, mentoring, clubs, volunteering etc.)
  • Are confident, adaptable and comfortable leading a classroom
  • Can support learners with SEN or additional needs
  • Communicate clearly and build positive relationships
  • Are proactive, enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about supporting young people
  • Are exploring a future career in teaching or seeking valuable classroom experience

Graduates from any degree background and unqualified teachers are strongly encouraged to apply.
