MFL Teacher ( French and Spanish)

A highly regarded secondary school in Rochdale is currently seeking a teacher of MFL (French & Spanish) to join their languages department on a full time basis. This position will start from Easter until the end of the academic year, with the potential to continue in the new academic year for the right MFL teacher.

  • Full time French and Spanish teacher position, starting in Easter
  • Attractive pay rates - get paid to scale (ÂŁ22,917 - ÂŁ38,633 per annum)
  • Ofsted graded Good secondary school
  • The school will offer CPD courses & opportunities for personal and professional development

This is a mixed 11-16 secondary school located in the top end of Rochdale; close to Little Borough the school is easily accessible via the M60 motorway with direct transport links from Manchester City Centre. After bringing in a new behaviour management policy at the start of this academic year and the head teacher and supporting leadership team having a strong focus on the standards set by the school, there has been a vast improvement in behaviour, quality of teaching and the outcomes of the students. The school have put a particular emphasis on the student who arrive at the school with low grades and ensure that they make good progress in a wide range of lessons including French and Spanish.

The incoming MFL teacher will:

  • Have UK QTS specialising in French & Spanish
  • Have experience teaching the curriculum across KS3 &KS4
  • Be able to plan and deliver engaging and challenging MFL lessons to increase attainment
  • Build positive report with the students to encourage learning
  • Report back to the Head of MFL on students progress and performance
  • Provide intervention sessions for students who have not yet met minimum levels of attainment
