Teaching Assistant
Job description
Do people describe you as patient, calm, and understanding?
If so, you might be exactly who our nurturing CF3 schools are looking for this Easter.
We’re looking for Teaching Assistants to join welcoming primary schools where kindness, consistency, and care make all the difference. You’ll work closely with pupils to support their learning, build their confidence, and help them feel valued and understood — whether that’s through small-group work, one-to-one support, or simply being a reassuring presence in the classroom.
Our schools pride themselves on their inclusive, community feel, offering a positive and encouraging environment for both staff and pupils. They’re easily accessible by public transport or car, with plenty of routes connecting from across Cardiff and nearby areas — ideal whether you drive or rely on buses or trains.
✨ What’s on offer:
-
£93 per day, with flexible part-time or full-time options
-
Supportive, nurturing schools that truly value their TAs
-
The chance to work across different age groups and classrooms
-
Consistent work starting after Easter
-
Ongoing support, professional guidance, and development opportunities
This role would suit someone who’s empathetic, reliable, and wants to make a real difference in children’s lives — whether you’ve worked in education before or you’re exploring it for the first time.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
