The Role

As a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
• Use de‑escalation techniques and positive behaviour strategies.
• Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral team, and class teachers to promote a calm, supportive learning environment.
• Help pupils develop emotional regulation, confidence, and positive relationships.
• Support overall classroom behaviour to maintain a focused atmosphere.
• Record and monitor behaviour patterns, feeding into staff discussions and planning.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
• Understands positive behaviour support approaches and de‑escalation techniques.
• Can remain calm, patient, and resilient when faced with challenges.
• Builds strong, supportive relationships with pupils.
• Works effectively as part of a busy, collaborative school team.
• Holds relevant TA qualifications or strong SEN/behaviour‑focused experience.
