Role Overview
As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in promoting a positive, safe, and respectful learning environment. Your skills and guidance will help students feel valued, understood, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to create effective behaviour intervention plans.
- Provide both one-to-one and small-group support for students requiring additional guidance.
- Carry out assessments and track student progress against behavioural targets.
- Organise and deliver workshops on topics such as emotional regulation and conflict resolution.
- Act as a positive role model, promoting appropriate behaviour and strong communication skills.
Requirements
- Previous experience in behaviour support, counselling, or a related area is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to engage positively with students from diverse backgrounds.
- A calm, proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Understanding of behaviour intervention techniques and strategies.
- A strong commitment to safeguarding, student welfare, and personal development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
