Teaching Assistant – Prescot

Pay Rate: £13.75 - £14.50 per hour (DOE)
Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant with strong phonics knowledge looking to make an impact across a warm, forward-thinking primary school? We are supporting Prescot Primary School, a vibrant community school in Prescot, to appoint an enthusiastic TA able to support children from Early Years through to Key Stage 2.

Job Description
As a Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support teaching and learning across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, depending on school needs.
- Deliver high‑quality phonics interventions and small‑group support.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers to create engaging and supportive learning environments.
- Provide tailored support to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
- Assist with classroom preparation, behaviour support, and progress tracking.
Ideal Candidate
We would love to hear from you if you have:
- Experience delivering phonics programmes (Read Write Inc, Letters & Sounds, or similar).
- Previous work in a primary setting, ideally across multiple key stages.
- A positive, nurturing approach to supporting children.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly.
- A genuine passion for helping children thrive academically and personally.

- Direct trains run from Liverpool Lime Street to Prescot, taking as little as 12–19 minutes, with frequent daily services.
