About the Role

As a Behaviour Specialist TA, you will:

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils presenting behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
• Implement de‑escalation strategies and positive behaviour interventions.
• Work closely with the SENCO, pastoral staff, and class teachers to create supportive learning environments.
• Help pupils develop self‑regulation, confidence, and positive relationships.
• Support the wider classroom environment to maintain calm and focused behaviour.
• Record and report behaviour patterns and progress to staff teams.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience supporting pupils with behavioural, emotional, or social needs.
• Understands positive behaviour support strategies and de‑escalation techniques.
• Remains calm, patient, and resilient in challenging situations.
• Builds strong, trusting relationships with pupils.
• Works collaboratively within a busy school environment.
• Holds relevant TA qualifications or has strong SEN/behaviour‑based experience.
