Hours: Full-Time, Term-Time Only
Contract: Temporary Ongoing
Pay: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Are you a passionate Teaching Assistant looking for your next opportunity in Key Stage 1? Teaching Personnel are working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Halewood area seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2026.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support young learners during a crucial stage of their education, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and enjoy their learning journey.
About the Role
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils both in the classroom and through small group interventions. You will play an important role in creating a positive learning environment where children feel supported, engaged, and encouraged to achieve their best.
Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning across the KS1 curriculum
- Delivering small group and 1:1 interventions
- Assisting pupils with literacy, numeracy, and phonics activities
- Encouraging positive behaviour and classroom engagement
- Supporting children with varying learning needs
- Preparing learning resources and classroom materials
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping children succeed.
Applicants should ideally have:
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting
- Experience supporting children in KS1 (desirable)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting learning
- A genuine passion for education and child development
- A relevant TA qualification or equivalent experience
