Key Stage: KS2 (Years 3-6)
Pay: £14.25 - £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Teaching Personnel is seeking a motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in the Speke area from October 2026. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting children in their educational journey and is passionate about helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.

The school prides itself on creating a positive learning environment where every child is valued and encouraged to achieve their full potential. As part of a dedicated KS2 team, you will play an important role in supporting learning and helping pupils develop confidence and independence.

The Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support learning across Key Stage 2 classes. You will provide classroom assistance, deliver targeted interventions, and help create an engaging and productive learning environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting pupils during lessons and classroom activities.
  • Working with small groups and individual children to reinforce learning.
  • Assisting with literacy, numeracy, and other intervention programmes.
  • Preparing classroom resources and supporting lesson delivery.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging pupil engagement.
  • Building positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
  • Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment.

What We're Looking For

We welcome applications from candidates who:

  • Have previous experience supporting children in a school, childcare, or similar setting.
  • Are enthusiastic about helping children reach their full potential.
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Can work effectively as part of a team while using their own initiative.
  • Are adaptable, proactive, and committed to making a positive impact.
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or are willing to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
