Location: Aigburth, Liverpool (L18)
Start Date: January 2027
Contract: Full-Time, possible temp to perm
Salary: £14.50 - £17.00 per hour DOE

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-established school in the heart of Aigburth to recruit a dedicated Site Supervisor from January 2027. This is an excellent opportunity to join a vibrant school community where your contribution will play a key role in ensuring pupils and staff have a safe, clean and well-maintained learning environment.

Located in a popular residential area of South Liverpool, the school is known for its strong community ethos, positive relationships and commitment to providing children with a high-quality educational experience. The Role

As Site Supervisor, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management, security and upkeep of the school premises. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and external contractors to ensure the site remains safe, compliant and operational throughout the academic year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Opening and securing the school site each day.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance, minor repairs and DIY tasks.
  • Monitoring health and safety procedures across the premises.
  • Managing site security, alarms and access arrangements.
  • Coordinating and supervising external contractors on site.
  • Undertaking regular premises inspections and reporting issues.
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation around the school grounds.
  • Supporting with statutory compliance checks and record keeping.
  • Assisting with site preparation for school events and activities.
  • Managing deliveries and ensuring the safe storage of equipment and materials.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous experience in a caretaker, facilities, premises, maintenance or site management role.
  • Possesses good practical maintenance and DIY skills.
  • Has a strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • Can work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Is proactive, organised and takes pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Has excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Holds relevant site management, facilities or health and safety qualifications (desirable but not essential).
