We are working with a school in the Stockport area to recruit a SEN Learning Support Worker to join their expanding team. This is a specialist school that support pupils with complex communication and education needs, alongside students with complex needs, learning disabilities, autism and sensory impairments. The school has seen continued success in the outcomes of their pupils over recent years.

The role would be primarily classroom based, supporting young people with additional needs. A truly delightful school with specialised facilities that aim to support pupils’ learning – ensuring each student’s needs are met through specialised classrooms, sensory areas and high staff to student ratio.

The ideal SEN Learning Support Worker would have:

  • Experience in a care or education setting
  • Experience working with young people
  • Understanding or willingness to learn about complex needs, learning disabilities, Autism and sensory impairments
  • Empathy, resilience and excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to positive outcomes
  • An Enhanced child & adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
